Effects (1)
Every card has effects that make them unique. There a a few types:
Summoning Cost
Must be paid when the card is summoned. If you can't pay, the summon fizzles and the card goes to the graveyard. Costs never go on the stack.
Action
Adds this effect as an Action to the card's Action Pool. The card can opt to perform it during the Event Phase (at Slow Speed).
Continuous
Always active while the card is face-up on the field. Never goes on the stack.
Trigger
Triggers happen as a response to something. They immediately go to the Stack, following standard MTG rules, and never miss timing. They can be optional (broken arrow) or once per turn ("1" symbol).
Activation
Effects you can activate at any time (at Fast Speed). They go on the stack when activated, and can be responded to. They might be once per turn ("1" symbol).
