Campaign Event

The Campaign Event should be your choice for your first turn. From your second turn onwards, you will need to ponder whether you want to expand your board state or start attacking by choosing the Battle Event instead.

Conquering Zones

Before you can place creatures or a monument onto the battlefield, you need to Conquer (activate) their zones. Artifact zones are always active.

When you choose the Campaign Event, you must immediately:

  1. Pick one of your inactive (unconquered) creature or monument zones to conquer.
  2. Place a marker or token on it; it's now conquered (active) for the rest of the game.
  3. That zone can now be targeted for summoning, setting, and marching.

Choosing which zone to conquer is a key strategic decision in the game. You will need to ponder board state, cards in hand, Fabled opportunities, arrow targeting and more to make the best choice.

If all your 6 conquerable zones are already conquered, you draw a card instead.

March Action

By picking the Campaign Event, all your face-up creatures get the additional March action into their Action Pool. That means they can reposition and rotate on the battlefield. We will see more about Actions and the Action Pool later.
